Bee Season is Coming Soon for Arizona

As you can see, the bee did some damage. Many people have never been stung, so a bee allergy is not always known.

Bee season is right around the corner.  Spring and summer bring along many flowers when they finally arrive in Arizona.  Flowers and things in bloom bring along those irritating allergies, and those horrible bees. While during any given season, bees can be seen year round, these 2 seasons on particular seem to be the worst with bees.

Honey bees tend to always be around, winter, fall, you name it.  We just did a job last week for bees, and it was pretty insane how aggressive and active the roughly 5,000 flying insects were.  The best thing to do when you notice an unusually large amount of bees, is to call a pest control specialist.  Bees are not going to take kindly to being bothered.  While we were at the job last week, I was in the bee suit, treating the roof eave where the bees were flying in and out of, and Corey (pest control specialist, co-owner of Bug Off, severely allergic to bees) was waiting by the truck.  The truck was quite far away from where I was dealing with the bees, but one managed to still get Corey on the lip.

Now, obviously the bees were reacting to the dust I was using to treat, and they were also being aggressive because I was messing with their “territory.” Getting stung by a bee is NOT a pleasant thing, especially if you are allergic. Keep on the watch this season, and don’t mess with them, you will only cause a bigger problem. Give us a call and we will deal with the bees for you, safely!
